I had an appointment with the family doctor today to check on a problem with my inner ear. I was so tired and anxious about being on time, that I took the wrong exit off the Interstate. Good thing I had given myself an extra hour! I used my cell phone to call the secretary at the doctor's office and she gave me great directions.
After much winding around interstates and country roads, I arrived at the office...only 20 minutes late! Then the doctor looked in my throat and ears, listened to my chest, and sent me to x-ray. In XRay they told me that I needed a bone scan. That was a surprise!! I wish they had told me they wanted to do this on this very day!! I told them I would rather come back another day. I think I shocked them because I didn't do what they expected.
At any rate, I got my throat and ears checked and my chest listened to. The doctor says it is time for my Spring checkup!! He gives one every six months. By the time I finish one, the next one is due. All I could say was...nothing. They better get all these tests over before the first of April. Then I go to arrange for cataract removal.
My eyes are the most important thing to me than any thing right now. My left eye has lost a lot of sight because of lazy eye as a kid. So, I really have to take care of my other eye.. I see quite well with glasses. I want to keep it that way!
I believe they were all a bit shocked when I left the office and just went home with an appointment for the bone scan next Monday afternoon. I pay them enough to have things done when I want and need them. We'll talk about that "paying" in another post real soon. Stay tuned and thanks for reading.
